This book has a totally misleading title as there are only about 105 strategies given in this small double spaced book. The author on one of the last pages states that “if you purchased my first book, you now have over 200 strategies to use”. Many of the suggestions such as taking the students to dinner in a restaurant or take students to see colleges (however well intentioned are hard to justify in these days of NCLB and budget deficits) A few useful and practical suggestions given..ie positive role models..graduation goal setting for highschool and college are relevant for all students. Buyer beware!! Limited value for experienced teachers. Publishing company does not feel the title is misrepresentation of what is in the book. Huumh.
