This book goes through practical activities for infants and toddlers. It begins with a section on development and learning, and follows with simple activities to help develop emotional, social, cognitive, language, gross and fine motor skills. I thought it was a little oversimplified for professional use (I am a therapist), but it has some good ideas if you are a new parent or trying to set up a daycare/Sunday school/play group type of environment.
